Hushed vocals, droning guitars, and sleepy drums.  This song was the first one I heard of Evan Voytas and always make me think of sun-washed summer days, taking it easy and thinking about the present and the moment I’m in.

Something about those drones.

Framing instantly familiar songs across a myriad of music styles and genres, 25 year-old multi-instrumentalist Evan Voytas is giving us music that sounds half classic, half something completely new.  After growing up in rural Pennsylvania listening to his father’s oldies tapes, Evan eventually moved to New York, studying music at the City College of New York.  Evan now calls Los Angeles home.
We’re bringing you a compilation of Evan’s three EP’s to date, music referencing the sounds of the 60s, dream pop, indie rock and elements of shoegaze that will keep you constantly guessing what he’ll do next.
